Freckles freckles and more freckles…

Truth about me, is I have freckles and when I was a young girl, they first appeared as a sprinkle of sweet fairy dust across the bridge of my nose. As the years went by, the fairy dust multiplied and grew until it covered almost all of me. As this transformation was taking place, I was teased and made fun of and I was taught to think something was wrong with the way I looked. I was relentlessly made fun of, called ugly, told I look weird, kids well, people can be mean but we endure don’t we. As I started on this journey of photography, and discovered my passions for creating a kinder and less judgmental world, that I could heal the little girl in me by taking those words that were thrown so carelessly at me and I learned I could in my own way, crumple them up and with use of my lens, showcase the beauty of looking different…
