New York Fashion Runway Show

New York here I come!!!!! As I was putting together the Skin Deep photoshoot for Edmonton, Alberta, I had a woman from Las Vegas who learned about the photoshoot and ask to be part of it. Rhyane flew to Edmonon and along with her, brought Ana Ono lingerie to be photographed in as well. Ana Ono lingerie  was created by Dana, after she was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma at the age of 27. She began to design the first pieces out of her own necessity and desire for pretty, sexy, beautiful lingerie during a recovery period that was everything but. After the Edmonton photoshoots, Rhayne contacted Dana and showed her the photos and I was invited to photograph the Ana Ono runway fashion show in New York.

Let me tell you about dream come true. Me in the Big Apple, never would I have ever imagined my passion for photography and storytelling would take me to New York City. I am a country gal at heart and to say I was a little intimidated, would be more than accurate. But I try to not let fear be my compass so off I went. The city was incredible and I fell in love. In LOVE I tell you, yes I did and it was magic. I photographed everything my eyes could devour, from the people to the architecture, Central Park, Time Square to the hot dog stands, day and night, I was in my glory. Then the big day came, I was seated with the rest of the media but also had backstage access to photograph behind the scenes as well. I was able to witness the personal transformation of these incredible breast cancer warriors from behind the scenes to the runway show and capture moments of strength, courage and empowerment. I laughed, cried and cheered and celebrated life with them from behind my lens capturing their smiles, tears, and true moments of personal glory each went through…
